Best for: Larger living rooms where a floor tower is acceptable
The DREO Atom One is the pick for people who would rather buy a conventional tower heater from a brand with tens of thousands of ratings behind it. Build quality is genuinely good, and the brushless motor keeps it quieter than most 1500W towers at the same output.
Its Shield360° protection package — ETL-listed overheat and tip-over cutoffs — is the most reassuring on this list, and ECO mode trims draw sensibly once the room reaches temperature. The 70° oscillation spreads heat well for a floor unit.
What keeps it at #2 is speed and footprint. It takes noticeably longer than a direct plug-in unit to feel warm, and it occupies floor space you have to design around. It also costs more than our winner while doing the same one-room job.
